St. Edmund King and Martyr, Tendring
TENDRING (St. Edmund King and Martyr) has a 13th. century nave, and chancel, and a west tower of 1876. It has a rather unusual hammerbeam roof truss at the west end, just above the north and south doorways, and the tracery of the gables is clearly of the early or middle 14th. century. The Font is octagonal, and has elaborate foliage in the panels, and the Plate comprises a Cup of 1567.
