Frating
FRATING (dedication unknown) has a nave, a chancel, and a west tower. The nave has, on its south side, a Norman window with a Roman brick surround, and there is a similar Decorated window on the north side. The chancel windows are from about 1300. The south porch is of plain timber, and the west tower has thin diagonal buttresses, with a three-light west window, and battlements with tall brick and flint panels. In the chancel is a 16th. century recess. Its depressed pointed arch is adorned with fleurons, and the spandrels with big leaves
