St.Mary, Frinton
FRINTON (St. Mary). The old church of 1879 has a chancel and bellcote. The south porch is of early 16th. century plain brick. There are four panels of Morris glass in the east window. These are an early design by Burne-Jones before peacock blues and greens began to dominate colour schemes. The window is said to have come from Melchet Abbey. It was bought at a sale in London, and the purchaser donated it to the church. |
